Kristu Jyoti College traces its origin to October 26, 1967. His Eminence Cardinal D.S. Lourdusamy, the then Archbishop of Bangalore, blessed the college building in the presence of Rev. Fr. Aloysius Ricceri SDB, the then Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco, on February 24, 1968, thereby officially inaugurating the college.
