The College Seminar for the academic year 2022-23 was held on 27 September 2022. The two day seminar had to be cut short to one day, owing to the demise of Mr. Royan Mura, a staff at Kristu Jyoti College.A minute of silence was observed by the gathering to pay respect to the departed soul of Mr. Royan.

Honouring the four hundredth anniversary of the death of St. Francis de Sales, the theme for the seminar was: St. Francis de Sales: Pastor for all Times and Seasons.

The seminar was held at Kristu Jyoti College auditorium,Fr. ShalbinKalanchery SDB, the Vice-Provincial of the Sacred Heart Province of Bangalore was the chief guest for the seminar. The seminar began with a prayer service animated by the students of Visvadeep, which also included a prayer dance. The prayer service ended with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries.

Dr. Shabu Thottumkal SDB, the Principal of the College welcomed the gathering. Fr. ShalbinKalanchery SDB, gave the inaugural talk, highlighting the theme of the day and its importance in the formation of priests and religious. Fr. Devikanth Maria Vivek SDB, one of the co-ordinators of the seminar presented the dynamics of the seminar.

Moderated by Dr.Anthony Mahimai Dass SDB, Rev. Dr. Jacob Parappally MSFS gave the keynote address on the theme "Relevance of the Sanctity and Spirituality of St. Francis de Sales."

After a short coffee break, the session on "St. Francis de Sales: Writer, Doctor and Founder in the Church" was expounded by Dr. Mathew Kapplikunnel SDB. Dr. James Kadankavil SDB moderated the session.

This was followed by a short book release session, which was done by Dr. Shabu Thottumkal SDB. Three books (two of Kristu Jyoti Publications and one from ATC, authored by a former student of Kristu Jyoti) was released during the occasion.

The gathering dispersed for lunch and returned at 2.30 PM for the afternoon session.

Dr. Joe Cherolickal MSFS, moderated by Dr.Thannickal George, illustrated the theme "St. Francis de Sales: A Model for Love and Friendship."

Due to the rescheduling, Dr.Ponthokkan Bosco SDB also presented a paper on "The influence of St. Francis on Don Bosco," the session being moderated by Dr. Varghese Kapplikunnel SDB.

All the sessions had good response by the participants, with queries to clarify ideas.The seminar concluded at around 4.30 pm with a hymn to St. Francis de Sales led by the deacons of Kristu Jyoti College.
