With deep sorrow the staff and students of Kristu Jyoti College, Bengaluru mourn the passing away
of our dear confrere Rev. Fr. Dominic Veliath SDB (aged 79), on 27 November 2021 at 8.15 PM.
The funeral service will be held at 10.30 AM on Monday 29 November 2021 in Kristu Jyoti
College, Bengaluru. Fr. Dominic Veliath was born on 25 February 1942 in Visakhapatnam and
made his first profession on 2 May 1962 at The Retreat, Yercaud. He made his final profession on
24 May 1968 and was ordained a priest on 31 October 1973. The college is immensely grateful to
Fr. Dominic Veliath for his untiring zeal and enthusiasm as professor, principal and rector and for
making Kristu Jyoti College known at the international level. The great service that he rendered to
the college for 43 years will be long remembered and cherished by the staff and the students.
