With deep sentiments of sorrow Kristu Jyoti College, Bengaluru announces the death of
our dear Confrere and former professor Fr. James Theophilus SDB (68), who passed
away on 5 June 2021 at 4.45 p.m. at Salem (Tamil Nadu) due to Covid-19. Fr. Theophilus
served Kristu Jyoti College as professor of Sacred Scripture June 1989 to May 1992. He
was also the first provincial of the Saesian province of Trichy. The staff and the students of
Kristu Jyoti College are indebted to Fr. Theophilus for his dedicated service.
