The feast of Don Bosco was celebrated for a month at Kristu Jyoti College, Bengaluru. The Don Bosco month themed
"Strive to Make Yourself Loved - SMYL '21" was inaugurated on the 4th of January with an Inaugural Mass followed
by the opening ceremony. The whole month was packed with reflections on Don Bosco through meditations, serenades
in different languages, sermonettes, animated Eucharistic Celebrations, special prayer for the month, anthem and
triduum services. To add delight to this festive season, Bosco Month matches were organised in the community for
a week. Prizes were awarded to the overall champions. The celebration reached its pinnacle on the 31st of
January - the Feast day of Don Bosco. The day was graced by the presence of Rev. Fr. AgilanSarprasadam SDB,
the Provincial of the Salesian Province of Trichy. The day began with a Solemn Eucharistic Celebration in
honour of Don Bosco, presided by Fr. Agilan and concelebrated by the fathers of the Community.
The community of Snehalaya, the Volunteers of Don Bosco and the Salesian Co-operators were invited
for the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration. Festive breakfast was served after the Holy Mass. A game
of Baseball was organised in the community for all the Salesians to add amusement to the day.
In the evening, an Academy in honour of Don Bosco was organised. Fr. Agilan was the Guest of Honour.
The communities of Viswadeep and Snehalaya also partook in the Academy. The brothers of KJC
honoured Don Bosco by their beautiful gestures through music, dance and drama. The grand feast
of Don Bosco culminated gracefully by honouring the relic of Don Bosco.
